The Tampa Bay National Guild of Hypnotists had an amazing meeting last Saturday. Lynne C led a discussion about NLP techniques (used with and without hypnosis), social media, and technology for hypnotists.

Great Demos!
The meeting was great. We had several new hypno-enthusiasts show up for our special event, called "Hypnosis?" The volunteers were just great! All in all, a good time was had by all. Next meeting will be at Books-A-Million the Saturday after Easter, the last Saturday in Easter.

November Meeting
The next TBNGH meeting will be on Saturday November 20 at 7 PM at Panera Bread in Oldsmar.
The topic will be Past Life Regression.
This is a very common use for hypnosis, and is useful even if you don't believe in regression. Many therapists use this technique, because even if you or the client don't believe in reincarnation, it still seems to be therapeutic. I think the best book about this subject is Many Lives, Many Masters, by Brian Weiss.
At the last meeting, Mark Beck demonstrated some rapid inductions. First he did a group induction, then several individual inductions. I really enjoyed this meeting and I think the guests did, too. I think the hypnotists all learned something about this technique that is not often used in the office, but could valuable for some clients.

Hypnotizing Toastmasters
Last night we had a fantastic meeting. It was a combination of a Toastmasters meeting and TBNGH. We had dynamic speaker, Lou Polur, who has been speaking for 48 years. Lou is a Distinguished Toastmaster and a Business Coach.
He gave us some things to think about so that we can analyze our best clients and boil down a description of them to 3 or 4 words, then use that description to get referrals from our current clients.
The best part was the summary at the end by another Toastmaster, Morthi, who asked us what we got from the meeting. It really helped us to focus in on the most valuable information.
We all had fun trying to help with slogans for an unusual product.
Unfortunately The TBNGH will not meet in July. The August meeting will take place a week after the conventionm on August 21, 2010. I will present the Hypnotic Fountain of Youth on August 13 in Marlboro MA. Friday the 13th.
