One Session of Hypnosis

It seems I am getting this question (or one like it) very often lately:

Can I lose weight, stop grinding my teeth, improve my memory, and reduce negative thoughts all in one session? Just substitute different habits if you don't have all of these.

Here is the answer: You can begin to make changes after just one session. But you probably won't be able to implement change in all these different areas. Post-hypnotic sugesstions last a few days to a few weeks, so it can get you started in the right direction. It's optimal to go once a week for a few weeks to make a change and make it permanent. New research shows that it takes 30 days to make a new neuropathway in your brain, so you must do soemething at least 30 days in a row to make a permanent change.

So what if you want to implement 3 or 4 changes? With each session you make progress and than gain momentum, each success leads to another success. Major changes are not ofteh instaneous. They take time. A 2 hour workshop or teleseminar rarely changes your life permanently. You need to do something again and again to create a habit.
