Virtual Meeting

Last Month we had a virtual meeting using Skype. This was the frist time we did a meeting using technology. If we all had advanced computer capability, it might be good, but the conference call had a few glitches. There is a delay between speaking and receiving the audio. There is also a difference in clarity of sound and continuity of sound. Some microphones work better than others. The meeting was an experiment and we learned about considerations to make before doing a session using Skype. For an individual session, it is a good option with a client you have seen before, when one of you is out of town. According to the experiences of our members, though, a phone session would be just as good.

TTYL (talk to you later) or maybe SYL (skall you later)!

  1. Why Skype is better than a phone:

    1. People tend to wear handsfree headsets with Skype, so they don't have to hold the phone when going into hypnosis.
    2. Skype gives you useful visual cues you don't get on the phone.
    3. Skype doesn't charge long distance. The quality of the line can be lower quality, so you have to pre-plan with your client.
    4. When your client is late you can watch for them to come online as you do other things.
