Bagel Talk Sunday 2-3-13

We did not have an average, everyday meeting this week. We had a contest! Actually 2 contests, the International Speech Contest and the Table Topics Competition. There were 5 contestants in each. It was wonderful.  All the speakers were at the top of their game and gave delightful, insightful, informative, and inspiring speeches on various topics: How to Avoid Being a Victim, How to Think Straight, The Day of Infamy, and Live to 103!

For Table Topics, all the contestants were put on the spot with the Prompt "If I ruled the World..."

It was so much fun. This is why I love Toastmasters International.

Every Sunday at 9:30 AM
Inn on the Pond
Clearwater, FL

The area speech contest, which will have the winners from our club and 4 others will take place on Sunday, March 3.

Bagel Talk Meeting June 24, 2012

Message from the president, Abraham Colmenares:
There is just not a better way to start off your Sunday than at Bagel Talk.
Be ready for a fun, fast-pace meeting.

Oh! By the way, we did it . Bagel Talk is President's Distinguished Club!
Have a great week!

We had an urbane meeting despite the rain. The word of that day was
"urbane," and I was the grammarian for the day.

I think this blog, Verbal Impact is the correct venue to publish the newsletter for Bagel Talk, the Toastmasters Club that I now belong to. So this will be a new feature here.
