Toastmaster Leadership Institute 1/12/13

I attended the TLI this morning at SPC in Clearwater. It was fantastic! I learned so much from some wonderful speakers. I especially liked the keynote in the beginning, by Robin R. She explained the 7 Habits of Highly Ineffective Leaders with respect to becoming a "Distinguished Club." It was hilarious!

I joined Toastmaster in 2008 when I decided to work on being a more dynamic speaker. I have recently rejoined, because I just love the challenge. It's so much fun, now, but when I started it was such hard work. I should be getting my Advanced Communicator Bronze certificate at the next meeting!

I now attend meetings on Sunday mornings at 9:30 am at the Inn on the Pond in Clearwater. It's a small group, but we have a few new members and it is always exciting to see how quickly people transform into capable public speakers!
